"If you loved me, you would rejoice that I am going to the Father."
John 14:28
In this passage Jesus makes this odd declaration: That the disciples should rejoice to see Him leave. If anything, such a statement always fills us with sorrow and grief. But what else is He saying? First, that when Jesus leaves God will send the world an Advocate, the Holy Spirit, who will teach us everything. And second, that Jesus leaves us peave. Not just any peace but the peace of God to reign in our hearts. This week let us meditate on God's abiding peace and how, if we let it, this peace can have a tremendous effect on our lives.
Christ is Risen! He is truly Risen!!!!
Jesus our Beloved Saviour suffered & died for our sins.
AND THEN HE ROSE FROM THE DEAD. Mary came quietly in the dark of night to be at the tomb at sunrise. Peter & John raced to the tomb. The disciples on the road to Emmaus were leaving town. Yet all experienced our Risen Lord. He comes to you no matter when or where you are if you will be open to Him.
So let us go to be with Him. He is our Beloved Lord!
