I am happy to speak in the name of my Religious Congregation, the Sisters of Saints Cyril and Methodius. Our Motherhouse is in Danville, PA, directly across from the Geisinger Hospital. Our Community is celebrating One-Hundred Years in Danville 1919-2019 and you are always invited to visit us on our Facebook page, our website and in person. You will easily recognize our property by the lofty tower which was raised to give Glory to God and to receive our gratitude for our deep Faith in God's Providence. We are also celebrating one-hundred-ten consecutive years in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Our first Sisters were lovingly nurtured and cared for the Sister Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Scranton. Our founder, Rev. Matthew Jankola, proudly sent our first Sisters to Sacred Heart Parish on N. Main Street where we began our teaching ministry. Rev. Jozef Murgas, a devoted advocate of our young Religious Community, was pastor at the time of this SSCM inaugural event. Today four Sisters serve within the Diocese of Scranton: Sister Madonna Figura at Saint Andre Bessette Parish, Sister Mary Beth Makuch at Saint Mary's Parish (Our Lady of Fatima), Sister Martina Hanrahan at Saint Luke's Villa and Sister Catherine Morris at Holy Redeemer High School.
